The Protein Works

Brown Rice Protein

Brown rice protein I love this stuff, OK not to drink I’ve never had the desire to try it.

Cooking with it is a different story. I use it in all my protein recipes, I’ve stopped using just Whey Protein as the texture is not always that good and can be a bit rubbery.

I find using a combination of Brown Rice Protein, and Whey Protein works well together. This is what I use in my Protein Brownies.

Whey Protein 80 (Concentrate)

Whey protein 80 is my goto protein for pre and post work out.

I also use it on non-workout days as well to keep my protein intake up, and I only have 2 Whey Protein shakes a day.

I love the choc mint brownie, it mixes really well and tastes great. I’ve tried many different brands in the past. Some of been good. Some don’t sit right on the stomach. I don’t have any problems with this protein, I’ve mixed it with regular milk and rice milk.

Protein Shakes for Weight Loss - Recommended Supplements

100% Micellar Casein

Casein Protein is the goto protein that I take just before bed. It is a slow-release protein ideal for helping repair your muscles overnight.

Again, I use the Choc Mint Brownie flavor. I think it, tastes better than the Choc Mint Whey and has a creamier texture.

I’ve used this in my Protein Brownies as well; it makes the brownies a bit gummier. They still taste great, though.

FAQ
I’ve not answered these questions myself; these have been asked on THE PROTEIN WORKS™ website. Please check their site for additional FAQ’s

Q. When should I take 100% Micellar Casein?

A. It depends on your lifestyle and goals, but because 100% Micellar Casein is a slow-digesting protein, it is ideally suited for use between meals and before bed.

Q. What does 100% Micellar Casein taste like?

A. 100% Micellar Casein has a thick and smooth texture compared to other protein sources.

Q. What does 100% Micellar Casein actually do, and how does it work?

A. It plays a vital role in post-workout nutrition. It gives your body a sustained slow release of protein that is low in fat and carbohydrates during the day or the night. 100% Micellar Casein slows digestion, which helps prevent catabolism. It is able to stay in the acidic environment of the stomach for longer periods and so able to release amino acids for a prolonged period compared to other protein sources.

Q. What is 100% Micellar Casein?

A. 100% Micellar Casein is a protein derived from the casein in milk.
